Granting HealthKit Permissions
Allow VitalSync to read and write data from Apple Health for automatic syncing.
For informational and educational purposes only. VitalSync is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. All content presents health data against established clinical reference ranges. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Granting HealthKit Permissions
VitalSync integrates with Apple Health (HealthKit) to automatically import your vitals, sleep data, and activity. You must grant permissions for each data type you want to sync.
During Onboarding
When you first launch VitalSync, you will be prompted to grant Health permissions. Tap Allow All to enable full sync, or select individual categories.
Granting Permissions Manually
If you skipped permissions during onboarding:
Required Permissions
| Data Type | Purpose |
| Blood Pressure | Automatic BP sync |
| Heart Rate | Pulse & HRV tracking |
| Oxygen Saturation | SpO₂ monitoring |
| Sleep Analysis | Sleep stage breakdown |
| Body Mass | Weight trend tracking |
| Blood Glucose | Blood sugar monitoring |
iPad Note
HealthKit requires iPadOS 17 or later on iPad. If you are on an older version of iPadOS, manual data entry is still available for all metrics.
